Rowboat

Darlin,
When I wrote it I chose my sentiments carefully & truly. I knew when I sent it that it may have two currents for you, but I did not want you to be sad.

Like I said last weekend, I will never forsake you, and I will walk you to the end. I know that one day I might have to walk you to the end of the pier and you will get in your little rowboat. And I will wave until you pass the horizon. And I will wish you well from the bottom of my heart. And I will hope for only good things for you.

I will always remember our days: the big things and the small things.

I will look at pictures of your beautiful face and remember how euphoric I felt in your presence. When I feel bravest I will play your record straight through.

Before you leave I will remind you to skim the stone when you are far away, and make a wish for me.

I love you. You know.
